Social Features within WayWay
Introduction
As previously stated, WayWay will be getting Social Features! Some of these characteristics were briefly described in our very first blog - What is WayWay? If you want to learn more about our app, click on the link. This blog will go into detail about our primary social features, which are presently in the development stage.
Ability to make posts
Users will be able to make publications, just like on any other traditional Social Platform. They will be shown on a special page called "Discovery Page." This will be the primary venue for communication between users. The posts will be split into two categories:
- About a place visited
- About a trip
Let us look over these two types of postings in further detail.
Posts about a location visited
After visiting a cafe, restaurant, hotel, event, local bar, or anything else you can think of, you will be able to post images and your comments on that particular location via your blog. Other users with similar tastes, or friends who follow your page, will be able to see your experience and, of course, comment and like it.
Posts about a trip
Even though this may sound the same to you, these posts will be highly functional. Unlike the previous category, when you could only share a single moment, the user will be able to share his or her full holiday, weekend, or trip, including sites visited, CO2 footprint, and more. Again, your post will be shown to users who have similar interests, and they will be able to draw inspiration from your trip, either by completely duplicating your itinerary and following your actions, or by clicking "generate a similar trip" and modifying a few factors. This button allows the user to organise a similar programming at a different place.

Heatmaps
Have you ever wondered where all the people and fun are? Using our Heatmaps, you can see the most popular spots on the map based on the activity of other users in the region. Furthermore, you will be able to navigate these congested locations and find something intriguing. In other words, the more activity on the platform there is, the hotter the region becomes.
Profile of the User
Another significant aspect that is related to everything we discussed earlier. All activity, including recent travels and posts, will be displayed on the user's profile. Aside from the obvious quantity of subscribers, each user will have a map indicating countries visited by a traveller. At first, the map will be entirely grey. If you want to begin unlocking the counties you've visited, simply use your geolocation to authenticate and it will be promptly shared via your personal global map. Furthermore, you may want to share this with your followers! Finally, the more you travel across the world, the higher your tier on the app.
Group Planning
Finally, is it social if you can't plan with your friends? We don't believe so. This is why you will be able to form groups - whether of friends, family, or partners - and go through the entire process, from imagining and gathering inspiration to eventually booking your trip or finalising your arrangements. The option to share posts, input each participant's preferences, and keep track of how the plan is coming together would help users. Make plans with pals easier than ever before by contributing!
